HOSTAGES are being held inside a cafe in Sydney's Martin Place.
THE faces of customers and workers have been seen pressed up against a shop
window of the Lindt Chocolat Cafe.
An Islamic flag - black with white writing on it - has been held up to the glass.
In a chilling drama unfolding in the city centre, Martin Place has been shut
down and scores of police are surrounding the cafe.
Workers in nearby buildings, including the Seven Network, have been ordered
to evacuate the area.
NSW government offices, including Premier Mike Baird's, are also in the vicinity.
Two women, whose faces are pressed up against the window, appear to be
holding up the flag.
Police have closed off Martin Place between Macquarie and Elizabeth Streets,
and Martin Place train station has been cleared.
Police have cordoned off the area to about 150m and a special police
operations unit is outside the building.
Media reports suggest there may be up to a dozen hostages inside the cafe.
Journalist Chris Kenny, who was in the shop about 20 minutes before the siege
began, said he understood the automatic glass sliding doors had been disabled.
"I did speak to a couple of people who saw a bit more of this unfold than I
did," he said.
"One woman said she tried to go into the shop just after I came out with my
takeaway coffee but the doors wouldn't open.
"So obviously whoever is doing this has disabled the automatic glass sliding
doors to stop anyone else going in and she said immediately she could see
there was a weapon.
"She mentioned it being taken out of a blue bag and people were straight away
asked to put up their hands."
Mr Baird's office has been locked down.

11.13am: An exclusiion zone has been placed around the Sydney Opera House
after a suspicious package was found there.
11.12am: Seven is reporting that 13 people are inside the cafe, being held
hostage by two men.

- An unconfirmed number of hostages are being held inside the Lindt Chocolat
Café in Martin Place in Sydney’s CBD.
- Hostages have been forced to hold an Islamic flag with white writing on it
against the window of the cafe.

closed over Sydney..
11.03am: Aaron Zelin, an Islamic expert in Washington, has tweeted
clarification about the flag in the Lindt window.
This is flag currently held in Sydney window, a garden-variety Islamist flag.

11.00am: There is speculation that the operation around Martin Place may be a
terror-related. Earlier today, two people were arrested on suspected terror
offences in north west Sydney.
10.58am: Steve Creedy writes: The Australian has been told that airspace
above Sydney CBD has been closed so that police helicopters can operate.
There may be disruption to aircraft operating into and out of Sydney Airport.

NSW Premier Mike Baird’s office has been locked down.
10.51am:Mark Schliebs clarifies the identity of the flag. He writes: The flag
at Martin Place appears to a generic “Shahada” flag - featuring the
expression of the Islamic faith - and not the one commonly used by Islamic State.
The use Shahada flag, and not one of a specific organisation, means the
gunmen could be sympathetic to any group or are simply acting as individuals.
10.50am: Channel 7 is reporting that the man may also be carrying explosives.

Now that the Islamist terrorists in Iraq are

 to bring 4400 of them to Australia.

and to obtain oil wealth, destabilizing the

 Middle East to their advantage in these

The excuse that there were weapons of

mass destruction in Iraq and a link between

 Saddam Hussein’s Ba’athist state and 

Al Qaeda – was a lie. It is now known to 

have been a Big Lie. 

But in overthrowing the Ba’athists, 

the Western Alliance opened up the

 gates to chaos.

The original Ba’athist state would never

 have tolerated Islamist extremism and

whatever may be said of the dictator 

Saddam Hussein, he was their sworn 

enemy.

Right now, Australia can and should

 arm the Yazidis to fight their way 

towards autonomy in Iraq. There are

easily 100,000 Yazidis capable of

taking up arms against the Islamists

For years now, a silent campaign in the Adelaide Hills has produced a popular resentment against the continued use of the Inverbrackie Refugee Detention Centre. 

It will now be closed. The Liberal government has bowed to a popular demand. 

However, the Libs practise their deceit. As Australia First has stated over and over, the Liberals sought to ‘Stop the boats, to fly the planes’. Refugees will now be processed off shore. This is called ‘the right way’.

By a decision of South Australia’s Prospect City Council on September 25 2012, the City will fly every year on its buildings the Southern Cross Flag - or Eureka Flag as it is generally known - as an act of commemoration.  The resolution said: ‘’Council agrees to fly the Eureka flag for the period 29 November – 3 December (inclusive) every year. The flag will fly in place of the State flag.” 

It was said in Council discussions that the Flag would be flown as part of remembering the historical process that achieved ‘democratic government’ in Australia. If only that was all that was said, there could be no real complaint! 

However, some interested persons put to the Council that flying the Eureka Flag expressed the City’s commitment to “diversity” That logic appears to have been the overriding consideration in the flying of the Flag. Consequently, it was a falsely crafted decision that belied the true history and significance of the Eureka Flag.

 

Now it gets much worse.

 

This year it has been officially put to the Prospect City Council, that a “gay flag” also be flown. A Council paper said:

 

4.7 In addition, Council has recently received a request from the Feast Festival for Council to participate in the Flying the Rainbow Flag – Celebrating Diversity project. Councils are requested to fly the Rainbow Flag from 9 – 24 November 2013.

 

4.8 Feast is Adelaide’s (self named) Queer Cultural Festival and is highly respected nationally for the quality of the artistic program and community development projects. Feast is also a member of Festivals Adelaide, the peak body for Adelaide’s Major International Festivals including the Adelaide Festival, Fringe, Cabaret Festival, WOMAdelaide and Come Out.

 

Undoubtedly, the Council will adopt the “gay flag” and commit itself to the agenda of so-called “marriage equality” which now lies at the centre of the “gay movement’ and which the Rainbow Flag now serves to promote.

Australia First Party considers that the drive to diversity in all things is the core philosophic idea behind globalism. Change the meaning of cultural symbols, pervert them and repackage them, is the method of the globalisers. So with what the Council has dome to the sacred Eureka Flag. So the Council has done in normalising the homosexual political agenda. The culture-busting of the Australian heritage and identity works by robbing us of our history or rewriting it. This is politics waged on the cultural front at the community level and it will now be resisted.

 

The False Logic Behind Flying The Eureka Flag .
 

After the Council flew the Eureka Flag in 2011 as part of a commemoration for the achievement of democracy in Australia, it was approached by a certain “Spirit of Eureka Committee” which proposed the Flag be flown annually.

 

This Committee said:

 

“The Spirit of Eureka Committee and the Eureka Charter developed by it, acknowledges the cultural diversity of Australian society. We are not in any way associated with and do not support groups such as National Action and the Australia First Party that have tried to misuse the Eureka flag for racial supremacist or anti-immigration purposes”.

 

However, the Australian nationalists of Australia First Party use the Eureka Flag correctly. They use it as a native-to-the-soil symbol of our national identity, as an iconic representation of the Australian spirit of struggle and sacrifice. And we do not hide from the fact that the Eureka Flag was flown as a symbol of a blood-identity of Australians (as Europeans native to this soil). It is a sacred banner in the fight against the ethnic cleansing of the Australian people – as it was in the nineteenth century and so today in the twenty-first century.

 

A key element in the Prospect City Council’s decision to fly the Eureka Flag came from a determined school of historical falsification that seeks to sully and dirty every expression of Australianism. A Council document said:

4.7.10 Racism is thought to be a issue: remember two of the 13 charged with treason were black; 30 nationalities fought under the flag.

 

4.7.11 Perhaps the words of one of the rebel leaders an Italian, Raffaello Carboni, he called on the diggers to “irrespective of nationality, religion and colour to salute the Southern Cross (Eureka) flag as the refuge of all oppressed people from all countries on earth.”

 

The colourful language of Carboni, which was common enough flummery in its day is contradicted for fact by the cold findings made by the 1855 Royal Commission into the Eureka affair, an inquiry which established that while the rebellion had various triggers an underlying question for the miners was the presence of Chinese labour on the gold fields. Indeed, with the Lambing Flat uprising of 1861 – which clearly identified the Chinese as a concern for white workers – the myth of Eureka and its flag grew. Labor hero Jack Lang could write in the 1960’s that the struggles at Eureka and Lambing Flat were linked in that they established the principle of “free labour” in the colonies.

 

The Eureka Flag was used in 1878 by the seamen in Sydney who stormed parliament to protest Chinese labour on the ships and it was raised at Barcaldine in 1891 to protest foreign scab labour.

 

Who is this Spirit of Eureka Committee which misinformed the Prospect City Council, who we add – were only too willing to be conned?

 

The Spirit of Eureka Committee is a poisonous group of former followers of the Communist Party of Australia (Marxist-Leninist), a species of pro Chinese communist. Generally called “Maoists”, these people toyed about in the 1970’s with trying to mask who they really were by using the Eureka Flag and by using the slogan of “independence for Australia”. It was the patriotic groups like National action who ensured that the Eureka Flag became secure as the property of the Australian People in their real fight against the ethnic cleansing policy of mass immigration and the evils of economic globalisation.

 

The “Spirit” clique held a meeting last November in Melbourne where they featured Pamela Curr, an advocate of refugee immigration. These people may believe in diversity, but they are not Australian nationalists or patriots. They are inner city dabblers who hate the traditional Australian working class and other working people. They hate the fact that we have a country and want to win its freedom whereas they would give it away.

 

Australia First Party says that the Prospect City Council flies the Eureka Flag as an exercise in falsehood, trying to misuse the Flag as part of the multiculti land to which it is loyal.

 

Let Australia First Party be very blunt: we call on all Australians to defend the Eureka Flag as the icon of an ethnicity and in the unique context of Australia, a people which demands a proper reward for its productive labour. The City of Prospect is welcome to its diversity and can drown in it if it wants, but the Eureka Flag is the People’s property.

 

The Prospect Council should not fly the Eureka Flag because it does not and cannot believe in the essential national mythology behind this emblem of Australianism.

 

And Now It’s Rainbow Flags (And Same Sex Marriage?)

 

Prospect City Council on 23 July 2013 received a “Request to Fly the Rainbow Flag”:

 

1.1 For Council to consider adopting a Flag Policy and also considering a request to fly the Rainbow Flag to support the Feast festival Flying the Rainbow Flag – Celebrating Diversity project.

 

It was said that such an action would contribute to the creation of “an active, healthy, connected and safe community.”

 

The Rainbow Flag has become the symbol of the gay lobby and the banner of the so-called “marriage equality” movement.

 

Australia First Party wants the gay lobby put back into the closet and asserts Marriage Normality against “marriage equality”.

 

By raising this Rainbow rag, the Prospect City Council would put itself against the traditional Nation. We have no doubt that the flying of the Rainbow Flag is linked to the marriage equality push. Insiders at the Council tell us that this is so.

 

Australia First Party denounces the Council for its commitment to diversity and explains “diversity” to disenfranchised Australians as the propaganda slogan and policy of globalism. Diversity sickens the Nation.

South Australian Campaign Successful – Brief Statement

 

Australia First Party in South Australia congratulates its activists and its friends in this State for their election-campaign work in Port Adelaide. 

Our candidate, Terry Cooksley, received 1097 votes. It was our first electoral effort in South Australia.

During the campaign, Australia First Party heard from many ordinary people about issues such as the immigration disaster, the refugee invasion, contract/visa  labour and the destruction of Australian industry in favour of imports.  

The working people of Port Adelaide have borne a lot of the ‘foreignization’ of every aspect of our national life. Port Adelaide once had a proud history of proper labour militancy in defence of workers’ rights. That tradition now stands with us.

The Refugee Issue Is The Issue Of The Election – And New Guinea Is No ‘Solution’ Either

All the papers and pundits say that the one issue of this election that dominates all others, is the
matter of ‘border protection’ – or as we would put it, the invasion of Australia by unarmed
combatants.

Last week, the Prime Minister came up with a ‘solution’. He announced that no person attempting to
enter Australia without a visa would be allowed settlement here, that they would be removed to
Papua New Guinea for settlement instead.

For those interested in getting back on the grog and ignoring reality, that sounded just great.

This ‘solution’ has been criticised since by the Liberal Party as being not legally binding and open to
a review in twelve months and so forth. For their part, they just wanted to do essentially the same
deal – but with Malaysia.

But of course, both Labor and Liberal politicians are not telling us that Australia will pay for the
hordes who will end up in Papua New Guinea and in such numbers until the Australian budget
breaks. And then??

But of course, both Labor and Liberal politicians are not telling us that the rate of ‘legal’ refugee
immigration will also increase. And these legals (sic) will help themselves to housing, welfare,
hospitals and services.

Legal or illegal, the ‘right way’ or ‘the wrong way’, Australia First Party says no way.

Yet, it gets even more disturbing. A throw away line in The Australian newspaper last Saturday
pointed out that the population of Papua New Guinea is exploding and that (AIDS, war, crime and
disease not withstanding) it will reach parity with Australia’s population by mid century. And as
Dick Smith said not too long ago – then you’ll really have a ‘refugee’ problem! New Guinea is only
four kilometres from an island that is part of Queensland and the Torres Strait generally is just a
shallow area that can be island-hopped to Cape York.

It is already clear that the New Guinean masses are not really well disposed to the refugee
interlopers and want them removed. They already attack the Chinese who are moving in on their
assets and resources and the country is lurching slowly towards being a failed state. An explosion
will come.

Our political elites and the money men who pay them fail to draw conclusions from what they must
see. Do they not know that Australia is being re-colonised in front of us? That we are losing the
country? That the lure of labour-armies of slaves offers nothing if the land passes to someone else?

The real solutions to the wave of Third World masses demanding access to Australia’s wealth and
its land-space are the hard solutions that can only be imposed by a government of nationalists:

1. The repudiation of the United Nations Convention On Refugees.
2 The refusal to admit to Australia any person claiming to be a refugee.
3. A new law on piracy to address people-smugglers and illegal-entry behaviour via boat.
4. A new law on unarmed combatants which creates a state of war between Australia and those
who may attempt to invade its territory, a notion that fits with the foreshadowed twenty first
century struggles over resources and living space.
5. The moving of boats away from our shores after reprovision.
6. The retention of the ultimate sanction of deadly force if it ever had to be used against flotillas of
boats organized by foreign states or by the would-be entrants themselves.
7. The return to their country of origin or another country of all those who have claimed refugee
status since the fashionable ploy of ‘asylum seeking’ emerged in the 1990’s.
8. The seizure of the property and other assets of all refugee advocates (whether political, clergy,
legal, activist) to create a fund to sustain the resettlement of these so-called refugees.

The alternative to our harsh but proper proposals is very obvious. It is the recolonization of
Australia. In the name of Australia’s sacred dead, we seek to bequeath Australia to those who
follow us. Our country is not for give-away.

Liberal Lie On Border Protection

Australia First received a poem from a patriot who has served in our armed forces. It is timely. Of late the Liberal Party in South Australia - and nationally through the voice of Immigration spokesman, Scott Morrison - have made noises about Islamist radicals entering the country as 'refugees'. Yet, just as we write these lines, both Liberal and Labor support the war against President Assad in Syria. There is no doubt that the so-called "Syrian opposition" is riddled with Islamists - including even Al Qaeda militants. The Liberal leadership has called for regime change in Syria agianst a system that has been secular and which has long tolerated Christianity. So much so, that many Christians are in arms against the Islamists the Liberal Party supports. It seems that many politicians favour certain things when it suits them. And on another tack, the Liberals also favour the admission to Australia of Afghans who have 'collaborated' with our forces in their country. Amazing how this lot don't want to stay and fight? The major parties should also know that many in the Australian military have asked: what was the sense of going to Afghanistan if hordes of 'migrants' and 'refugees' were the result?

It has usually been the case - up to now - that Moslem groups have demanded ‘rights’ in our society – the right to cover their faces in banks and on driving licenses, the right to establish Mosques where they like, the right to eat halal foods and have them labelled – but now a new cultural danger has come to the fore. One Moslem group demanded the right to impose Islamic practices upon Australians.***************************** Two female teachers from the Islamic College of South Australia have been compelled to start court action against being unfairly dismissed because their attire was considered inappropriate. ***************************** The teachers were sacked last year by the West Croydon school, which issued a warning to all female teachers - Muslim and non-Muslim - to wear a hijab head scarf, or face the sack.******************************* School principal Kadir Emniyet defended the school's policy, which he said he had discussed with all 42 teachers. He said "90 per cent of them are happy to adhere to the policy". Were most of the teachers Moslem? And if not, why did any Australian agree to it? ******************************************** Mr Emniyet, also said male teachers who breached the staff dress code - for example, by wearing shorts - would face the same three-strikes warning system as female teachers who did not adhere to the headscarf policy.*************************************** This smacks of sharia law and is alien to Australian cultural practise.

We acknowledge the passing of our esteemed South Australian member, Mr. Colin Wutke. He died on Christmas Day, aged 87. ****************************************************************************** In 1976, Col joined the Immigration Control Association (ICA), then directed from NSW by the tireless activist Bob Clarke. He was a candidate for a party spurred by the ICA for the 1980 elections. *********************************************************************************** When the ICA was wound up finally in 1982, he joined National Action, which remained a commitment for the next two decades until it too was dissolved amidst changed circumstances. Colin was also involved with the Pauline Hanson One Nation movement right from its very beginning in 1997. Indeed, the One Nation (SA) acknowledged his loyal commitment and gave him life membership with a framed certificate. **************************************************************************** When Australia First Party was re-launched in 2007, Col became a member and despite his years, was a very dedicated activist and has spent many hours leafleting, placing stickers and attending meetings and talking to many people who came his way. ********************************************************************************* Colin was a diary farmer for many years and in his later years grew potatoes on his Springton Farm in the Adelaide Hills. $375m from foreign aid for asylum seekers

THE federal government will divert up to $375 million this financial year from its foreign aid budget to support asylum seekers who are being processed in the Australian community. THIS CLEARLY SENDS THE MESSAGE THAT AUSTRALIA REWARDS QUEUE JUMPERS AND LETS NEEDY PEOPLE OVERSEAS DIE The use of the money is part of the government's battle for savings as it tries to keep its promise to deliver a surplus, and also reflects the bigger than expected influx of people coming on boats, which is putting additional pressure on costs. Foreign Minister Bob Carr said the aid budget - $5.2 billion in 2012-13 - was not being cut. He said the use of the funds for asylum seekers being processed locally was in line with OECD guidelines for the allocation of foreign aid. It was done by the US, France, Canada and others. Paris Aristotle: "If everyone stays in their trenches, then we won't protect anyone." But the aid sector reacted angrily. Advertisement The head of World Vision, Tim Costello, accused the government of ''sleight of hand'' and said Australia was disappointing the rest of the world. He said one of the big arguments in Australia's successful Security Council bid was that it had been increasing its aid budget. That budget is 0.35 per cent of gross national income with a promise that it will rise to 0.5 per cent. The May budget pushed out the timetable for getting to 0.5 per cent by a year; it is due to be achieved in 2016-17. Mr Costello questioned the lack of transparency by the government, and called on it to say which part of the aid budget would suffer from the diversion of funds. ''Will it be health? Will it be education?'' He said money was not diverted from the aid budget to, for instance, indigenous programs, even though some of these people were living in third world conditions. When the story was broken by the Ten Network, Senator Carr initially responded: ''I'm just saying to you that Australia's got a big generous aid budget. We're very proud of that.'' Later he said: ''Money spent on refugees within a country is legitimate aid.'' Mr Carr's spokesman said the funds would only be spent on asylum seekers who were yet to be processed or were being processed, not on people judged to be refugees. Under the government's policy to discourage people coming on boats, those who get refugee status could be in the community for up to five years without the right to work, living on welfare payments. Senator Carr said on Monday night the money would be spent on ''basic subsistence''. ''This will cover food, shelter and other essential items.'' Opposition foreign affairs spokeswoman Julie Bishop said: ''Not only can Australians not trust Julia Gillard, the rest of the world can't rely on her word.'' The Australian Council for International Development - which brings together non-government aid bodies - said the decision was a breach of trust between the government and the public. Over the "Canada" Day long weekend, a Calgary group is holding a conference called The Power of Unity: Islam in a MultiCultural Canada. "Abraham Ayache, chairman of the Muslim Council of Calgary, said the conference is being organized to celebrate 50 years of Islam in Calgary and is all about unity and celebrating multiculturalism. ... A recent posting on the MCC website under the heading 'Ask the Imam' seems to indicate that some of the organization's hired imams haven't read the memo about cultural tolerance and unity. In answer to a question by a single mother concerned about her children no longer being obedient to her, an imam on the site wrote: 'You should instil a hatred for this culture and its ways in the hearts of your children.' He also wrote: 'It is haraam (forbidden) for you to give your children free rein in forming friendships with the children of the kuffaar.'Kuffaar, or kufir, is synonymous with infidel or nonbeliever. Translation: the vast majority of Canadian society." "In the Islamic Republic of Iran, sex outside of marriage is a crime, punishable by up to 100 lashes or, in the case of adultery, death by stoning. Yet, the purpose of a temporary marriage is clear from its name in Arabic—mut'a, pleasure. A man and a woman may contract a mut'a for a finite period of time—from minutes to 99 years or more—and for a specific mehr [payment, in the Farsi language], which the man owes the woman. ... Remarkably, Iran's Shiite clerics not only tolerate sigheh [the Farsi name for the contractual, um, union], but actively promote it as an important element of the country's official religion. 'Temporary marriages must be bravely promoted,' the interior minister said at a clerical conference in [the holy city of] Qom in 2007. 'Islam is in no way indifferent to the needs of a 15-year-old youth in whom God has placed the sex drive.' Yet, the Iranian mullahs' efforts to rehabilitate sigheh have met a stubborn core of resistance—particularly from feminists, who decry the practice as a kind of 'Islamic prostitution.' ... At the time of the prophet Muhammad, in the late sixth and early seventh centuries, temporary marriage was already common in Arabia, and many Islamic scholars believe he recommended it in circumstances such as pilgrimage, travel, and war. Most Shiites go a step further, maintaining that the practice is endorsed by the Koran. The second caliph, Umar, banned temporary marriage, but Shiites reject his authority because they believe he usurped Muhammad's rightful heir, his son-in-law Ali. The Pahlavi shahs, who ruled Iran until 1979, sought to delegitimize temporary unions as backward, but after the revolution, the Islamic authorities moved to reclaim the tradition. *************************************************************************************** In 1990, President Hashemi Rafsanjani offered a widely noted sermon on the practice, emphasizing that sexual relations aren't shameful. He encouraged young couples to contract marriages 'for a month or two'—and to do it entirely on their own if they felt shy about going to a mullah to register the union. Two decades later, Iran's Shiite clerics continue to endorse temporary marriage as a sexual escape valve. (Sunni variations on the theme are also on the rise throughout the Middle East.) In an interview at his home in Qom, the conservative ayatollah Sayyid Reza Borghei Mudaris offered a list of who might benefit from temporary marriage: a financially strapped widow; a young widow—'She answers her needs because if she doesn't, she will have psychological problems'; a man who cannot afford a permanent marriage; and a married man with domestic problems who needs 'a kind of medicine.' ... While the ayatollahs see temporary marriage as good for both sexes, feminists point out its lopsided nature: It is largely the prerogative of wealthy married men, and the majority of women in sighehs are divorced, widowed, or poor. Only a man has the right to renew a sigheh when it expires—for another mehr [payment]—or to terminate it early. While women may have only one husband at a time, men may have four wives and are permitted unlimited temporary wives. ... Yet, women do derive some benefits from sigheh. Children born of sighehs are considered legitimate, and entitled to a share of their father's inheritance. In a permanent marriage, the family usually negotiates a dowry on the bride's behalf; a woman entering a temporary marriage sets her own terms. A temporary wife has no right to maintenance or inheritance, but she also has fewer obligations than her permanent counterpart—her duty to obey her husband encompasses only sex." Inverbrackie: Collaboration Lauded By Hills Courier

The Hills Courier (April 25) has once again spoken out in favour of the Inverbrackie Detention Centre. It has quoted at length Immigration Minister Chris Bowen and his especially commissioned report into the workings of the Centre. We have found it quite amazing, almost surreal, that this report could serious in asserting that nearly 300 jobs could be created for Hills residents. Jobs – for what? Working to achieve the recolonization of your country is not work, but treason. The report indicated that the so-called ‘refugees’ were coping well and that the schools were perfect models of friendly multiculturalism. When one throws vast sums of money at ‘projects’ and polices playgrounds and Parents and Citizens’ groups and so forth, a type of quiet resignation prevails. However, that is not the real position. We were right to have said at the start that many people would seemingly go silent under the glare of media lights. None of that means that they have ‘agreed’ to accept the Centre. Australia First Party has continued resistance and many local people continue to silently and obstructively resist. Because our party set out the model of the Community Strike, the government was forced to spend vast sums on its frauds. We have waged a type of economic guerrilla war against the system and we say quite openly that the day will surely come that the state will surely be short of cash. The multinational SERCO has profited from the centre as have local collaborators. The identities of many of these people are known. During the winter months, Australia First Party will be active in the Adelaide Hills.
